Shirley Cothran

Shirley lives in Texas with her husband of nearly 30
years, Richard, and their four children, two in
college and two in high school. Utilizing her Miss
America scholarship money, Shirley earned her Ph.D. in
education. Shirley has remained active in community
service by serving on school, charity, and advisory
boards, while writing for several Christian
publications. Enjoying an active career in public
speaking, Shirley has concentrated her efforts to
